heya there, im currently updating everything with my system and it seems i cant download the updater for Spybot Search And Destroy. Is it the problem of my area? or celcom connection is slowing these days...
Also, about the bitcomet connection setting, so it does effect other download program? if it does, is there anyway to fix it? because i just uninstall bitcomet and my download is still low on IDM, is it because of the celcom connection or my area?
Im using IDM to download streaming videos while as Bitcomet are solely for torrent files... lolz! sorry to trouble you again!
siggymas. from my experience.. definitely because of your celcom broadband.. i had a same problem.. seldomly.. by the way i prefer bitcomet than other download manager such as Download accelerator plus(DAP) and flash get.

and when you mention that my celcom broadband is the problem, is it my area or my modem? just curious lolz...
usually im also a frequent user of flashget and bitcomet but until my friends told me that IDM is a great and easy software to use to download streaming videos and capture it, i use it often because it has fast download speed (20-30kb++ downloading streaming videos of course) but after awhile it drop like hell until even 600bytes lolz!
i dont know when, probably after setting up bitcomet connection or not, i cant quite remember lolz.... guess i just have to live with it... :(
siggymas, sometimes i have the same problems with speed. its seems to be a area problem.. when i was in putrajaya last 2 week. i noticed my speed there and signal quality are excellent.. but in my place the quality just avarage. sometimes good.. sometimes poor.. i having a very poor conection right now... in other words when i open up my torrent bitcomet i cant surf the net (super slow)..

by the way what can i say u have a problem exactly like me.. at the first place i blame my modem.. but based on my experience the broadband sometimes can give a trouble.. if u live near the celcom tower then it can be better.. its depends on your distant and much more the clearity of the airwave.. its nature.. cant avoid it.
p/s : if u use the modem 24hours u should power cycle. just off and unplug your modem 10-15 seconds then use it back...

oh this is so cool.. more stable than bitcomet 1.04.. i can get avarage 40k+ without dropping the speed to 30k... maybe that is my maximum speed..but napster should i change the listen port ?? or i dont need to change anything ??

No need to change listen port. The default no of listen port for this version to get maximum speed is 18882. This happen because this version, listen port is not blocked.

2. Do a GPedit tips
3. Clean your pc with Ccleaner
4. Free from virus, spyware etc
5. Place your modem beside a windows
6. Avoid put a modem near electrical devices
7. CD Reflection Surface as a add-on
8. For torrent just use a BitComet 0.64 Mod or Ares Mod. Read Description above.
9. For download streaming videos read a description above too.
10. Check your signal area provide by celcom. Link to Windows XP2/3 Pro Boost Internet Tweaking page.
11. And the last one use a TCP Optimizer. Download TCP Optimizer now.

1* Your ping is very high, about 520 ms. Do a speed test at nearest server and post again. Also try to run speed test on the right time, for example in the morning about 6 or 7 am.
2* If you are experimenting, after ever change you should also do at least one speedtest to see if it is any different. Probaly run three speed tests and compare them.
If I were doing this, I would test at least two times at each TCP Window setting at different times of the day. Once when there is low traffic and once when there is high traffic volume.
Record: Time of day, TCP Window used, and Speed tests results.
You would probably also want to check the TCP Analyzer Results to see if they change.
3* Try to change TCP Receive Window between 64240 or 128480 even 513920 to see a different speed and suitable for your connection.

Here's how I solve it:
-. Open your Internet Explorer

-. At the new dialog box, look for the Proxy server checkbox, if this is checked, uncheck it.
-. Then your done, click OK button for the dialog boxes.
-. Try logging in to your Yahoo Messenger account.
My solution is good only if you have set your proxy server previously in your Internet Explorer. I've noticed this behaviour since in our school, I need to set the proxy server to access the internet. But at home, I don't need to. So when I am at home, this is the normal situation I encounter when I forget to unset back the proxy settings.
Solution b)
If the above solutions does not go well, this last one might be the savior. Instead of constantly banging your heads with those re-logins and reconfigurations, you can track back your YM version and replace it with an old version instead. I did this and it works for me well. I had before a version 9 Yahoo Messenger and when I replace it with a version 8, the problem was solved. This should be your last resort if the previous won't work. Remember also to be patient. If it bugs you, don't bug down... bug up!

ps* for b) solution, after uninstall yahoo messenger, Go to My Computer > Local Drive C: (Default) > Program files > Yahoo! > Messenger..Delete the messenger folder!Then, reinstall the YM8 to your PC. Try login to it with your ID.

And forget one thing, after uninstalled, removed and deleted yahoo messenger, removed the yahoo toolbar also.
Remember when you remove yahoo messenger you only remove that but you also have to remove the yahoo tool bar as well in add and remove programs in control panel and reinstalled it again.

2. Hmm...ke myspace ok jer?..biasanyer myspace lagi berat dari friendster. Saya cadangkan awak jangan make a cleaner. That means, apabila awak load page friendster, computer dengan sendirinya akan simpan semua maklumat macam gambar, tulisan dan page so next time biler awak nak bukak friendster balik, dia akan terus buka tanpa kene tunggu pictures load da sebagainya. Jadi buat cleaner apabila perlu sahaja, maknanya apabila terasa computer berat and heavy baru buat cleaner.
3. Kalau pakai proxy, cuber turn offkan proxy tue (toonel). Lagi satu, masa tengah browsing saya cadangkan awak offkan activity download (download manager or torrent). Kadang2 tue ym pun leh jadi browsing kita slow, Turn off windows update. Jadi possibility, turn off aper yg perlu jika nak browsing.

-That is the main difference between Speedguide's TCP Optimizer and other tweak programs. Here, we recommended to first calculate RWIN to the largest even mulitples of MSS without Window scaling.
When bandwidth or latency demands RWIN to be higher than 65535, we recommend to set RWIN higher by the next scale factor.
